basically, no sane motorist is going to run you over if you walk out in a yellow light, and i believe cars should be held in a lower priority to us walkers, so we should just start walking when their light goes yellow.
While standing at the crosswalk, watch the light in the lane you're going to be passing through, about 10 seconds after it goes yellow, just start walking. If anyone honks at you, just give them the finger, and if they do it more than once, you should jump up on top of their hood and stomp some of your own justice into their windshield.
